Welcome to Gourmand’Iz We are an Authentic French Bakery and Patisserie. Discover a range of authentic French bread, cakes, patisserie and more..

At Les Gourmandises, you can discover a range of authentic French bread and pastry filled with flavour and prepared with French passion.

All of our products are baked onsite, using only the highest quality ingredients. We aim to surprise, with a selection of cakes, pastries and bread as varied as the seasons.

We offer crusty baguettes and croissants made with French flour and pure French butter.

We bake a variety of traditional French breads. Our Campaillou, a delicious bread made of rye & malt, light sourdough olive bread, is just one example.

And we prepare and bake a variety of mouth-watering traditional pastries and cakes including:

• mille-feuilles (traditional French vanilla slice),
• handmade macaroons with many flavours to choose from;
• a range of traditional French Choux pastry including éclairs, Profiteroles and Croque-en-bouche
• modern desserts and specialised cakes including fruit tarts of the season
• a variety of French inspired savoury treats including the famous French bourguignon pie
• and on request cakes and desserts for special occasions including the traditional French wedding cake (a pyramid of Croque-en-bouche)

About us!

Joe and Isabelle Hennequin

Joe is originally from the French Reunion Island and Isabelle from the Brie (south of Paris). Joe loves his bread and croissants, inspired as a young boy by his father’s passion for baking. Joe has continued the family tradition, baking fresh bread every morning and Moruya has seen his passion develop and grow.

Isabelle’s life-long passion for cooking began with her family at their coastal summer holidays, which were spent in Brittany, France, where cooking and great food was the heart of it all. Isabelle’s passion for French food and cooking led her to found “A La Table d’Isabelle”, a local catering business in Moruya where she creates the real French food dining experience for local events as well as hosting a variety of French food events.

Joe and Isa combined their passion for baking and cooking to open a French bakery stall at the Moruya Market, which quickly became a local staple.
