The Coleman estate wines are predominantly produced from vines planted 25 years ago, expressing vines that have adapted to the dramatic marine-influenced microclimate with volcanic and sedimentary soils, deep roots, and gnarly trunks that often face down Pacific coastal wind and storms. The wines are fermented in small lots, influenced by the growing season and grape profiles. These small lots include whole cluster or whole berry fermentation, pre-maceration and post-maceration, both wild and select yeasts, malolactic fermentation, and sur lie aging in barrel. Given love, time, and attention from Randy and Kim Coleman, the wines represent the complexity of Oregon Pinot Noir. Truly family owned and operated.
