IYA is an award-winning restaurant and cultural hub full of beautiful hidden surprises in the heart of Buea. In this renovated mid-60s colonial build you’ll find a restaurant, literary café, creative event and cultural spaces.
Once a French consulate - in British Cameroon - IYA was renovated in 2015 by entrepreneurs Ranx Kunda and Alexander Bede and transformed into a contemporary restaurant and creative space, creating a beacon for the local community and visitors.
