We have twenty-four rooms in the main hotel building, six rooms in the Phillips House next door, and thirteen housekeeping cottages. Xanthus, the hotel dining room, serves dinner in the evening from June until October, and in July and August the Boat House is open for lunch and cocktails in the evening. We are a non-profit made up of an all-volunteer group dedicated to promoting health, nutrition, and community among the residents of Mount Desert Island.
Located on the “quiet side” of the island, The Common Good Community offers a by-donation café in the summer that funds community meals and events in the winter.
