The original Texas Spoon opened in 1980 and has been a Lubbock tradition for over 30 years. It originally started be serving bar-b-que and hosting some of the best live music in town. Some of the bands that began playing at the "Spoon" were the likes of Joe Ely, Stevie Ray Vaughn and David Gilmore.
