1996, Jim was forced to retire after he was seriously wounded in the line of duty.
His continuing zest for life, humanitarian efforts and optimism in the face of
Adversity is an inspiration. We feel honored to bear his name.

Wheatstack – A Midwestern Eatery & Tap and River Bend Golf Club sit on the former farmland of one of Lisle’s first permanent settlers. The rich soil of the DuPage River basin afforded many of Lisle’s early farmers bountiful harvests of wheat, corn and beans. The concept behind Wheatstack is to incorporate the values of the early farmers and settlers of Lisle and the American Midwest into your experience with us: family, friends and community coming together to celebrate a bountiful harvest.
Please note the bar is open two hours past the kitchen hours (posted below).
