We constantly tweak our beers and develop new recipes to satisfy the curiosity of ourselves and our customers alike. We are not prepared to just pump out a couple of run of the mill ales or have our beer brewed under license by someone else. We prefer to create beer from scratch, using our own production equipment on our own site in our home town of Beechworth, its our passion, not a hobby or a chance to make a quick buck.
Our brewery cellar door is open for lunch 7 days, with lunch being served from 12-3pm and dinner Fri-Sun with dinner from 6pm.
We also stock a range of local wines and cider...
At Eldorado Road we make good wine at a profit if we can, at a loss if we must, but always good wine.
Winery & Vineyard planted to Durif and Nero d’Avola located in the village of Eldorado, we venture up the hill to nearby Beechworth in search of the best Chardonnay fruit possible. Custodians of the 130 year old “Dulcies Vineyard” in Glenrowan.
Eldorado Road is a family project consuming our lives, robbing our weekends now dedicated to making wines, developing vineyards and restoring the old block. Often demanding but truly rewarding.

Ciirca 1853, Tanswell’s is Beechworth’s oldest surviving hotel; the licence dates back to 1851. Recently featured in Lee Mylne's book Great Australian Pubs her description of it being one of "the best places to stop for a drink, meal and accomodation" in Australia says it all. With many original features and warm fire places in winter the beauty and ambience of the hotel warms every visitors heart.
The menu, mostly French and Italian, features classic dishes using plenty of local produce. Certainly there is an Italian bias with a "pasta & rice" section, ideal for those who are looking to relax with a classic bowl of pasta and a glass of wine. A quality menu, warm lighting, affordable wine list and personable service combine to create this local treasure.
Here at The Press Room Wine Bar we want your dining experience to be truly that, 'an experience'. Great food, delicious wines, fabulous cocktails & craft beers, lively environment and friendly professional service.
