Achill's newest bar. Opened on Saturday 1st July 2017. It is located in the village of Keel on the site of the old Amethyst Hotel.
"Mickey's" as the locals call it, is where everybody meets. It's your typical small village/country pub where locals and visitors mingle, people make arrangements for tomorrow and discuss the real issues of the day like the weather, the day's fishing, the hay, the turf and football. And occasionally it's rounded off with an impromptu singsong.

The Cross Bar & Cafe, is a recently refurbished family owned pub, located in the centre of Achill Island, located on the main road, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean.
Reopened on the 20th of June, The pub now serves cafe food during the seasonal period, such as paninis, wraps, baps and sandwiches along with freshly brewed coffee and homemade deserts.
With events such as live music, traditional irish music and family table quizzes are held weekly.
