When Saptahik—a Nepali infotainment weekly was launched about 15 years ago as a Friday supplement to Kantipur daily—little did anyone know how successful the magazine would turn out to be. Saptahik’s immense popularity led to its becoming an independent entity that operates under the umbrella of KMG; needless to say, it is one of KMG’s most successful media offerings.

Saptahik was introduced at a time when Nepali news and media houses operated with a very traditional, old-school mindset. Thus, when Saptahik was launched, its colourful format and colourful features (stories of celebrity lives, gossip, style, fashion, models and articles that delved into the-then taboo topics of love, sex and relationships) made it the talk of the nation. It shot to the top in its genre, and it has ruled the roost ever since.

Today, Saptahik continues to entertain its readers through articles about their favourite celebrities, the world of glamour and entertainment, models, fashion, beauty, humour, parties, love, sex, relationship and everything good in life.

Saptahik is a complete infotainment package that its avid followers and readers look forward to week after week.
