Visegrád aranykora a XV. század végén, Mátyás király uralkodása alatt köszöntött be, amikor is itáliai felesége, Beatrix közbenjárására a Királyi Palota és a Királyi Vár olasz mesterek segítségével reneszánsz stílusban újult meg. A Reneszánsz Étterem az országban egyedülálló módon belső kialakításával, kosztümjeivel, és persze nem utolsósorban az agyagedényekben felszolgált ínycsiklandozó étkekkel és italokkal ebbe a korszakba repíti vissza Visegrádra látogató vendégeit.
Visegrád's golden age came at the end of the 15th century, under the reign of King Matthias, when his italian wife Beatrice helped bringing masters from her country to renew the Royal Palace and the Castle in the renaissance style.
