Peppermint Ridge Farm

Peppermint Ridge Farm showcases Australian native foods. We offer a wide range of experiences including our Schoolhouse Cafe (open the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month for lunch--bookings essential), regular native garden tours, and a cooking school with classes on how to use the wonderful flavours of native foods like lemon myrtle, strawberry gum and mountain pepper. Check out our website for details of our latest events.

We also offer accommodation at The Haven where you can create your own unique weekend packages with foodie experiences at Peppermint Ridge.

Peppermint Ridge Farm is the original Living Classroom and has been operating since 1996 at Tynong North, only 1 hour East from Melbourne. Julie Weatherhead and Anthony Hooper are experienced educators with combined training in Environmental Science and Community Development. Peppermint Ridge Farm has welcomed over 5,000 participants so far for their workshops on organic vegetable gardening, bush food, sustainable property planning and Australia's historical heritage.

Julie and Anthony also operate the Cornucopia Living Heritage Centre which offers unique tours of the Cornucopia Australia Exhibition, highlighting Australia's history, Aboriginal culture and creating a sustainable future. Peppermint Ridge Farm has extensive bush food gardens and a bush food nursery.

They also run the Cornucopia Consulting Group providing services on property and garden design, bush food garden design, ecological surveys, design and management of community development projects and capacity building for groups.
