In 2001, in honour of her late step-father, the owner packed up the artifacts in his Pub in Ireland and arranged for the entire bar to be painstakingly dismantled and shipped it through the Panama Canal to Santa Monica. A crew of Irish craftsmen meticulously reconstructed it and on St. Patrick’s Day, 2002, Finn McCool’s Irish Pub was born – an authentic Irish Pub right at the beach in the heart of sunny
California.

Our authentic Irish ambiance is enhanced by its vintage memorabilia, exquisite celtic carvings and hand painted murals depicting the legendary Irish warrior, Fionn MacCumhail. Many of the staff originally hails from Ireland, helping preserve the very essence of Ireland and making one truly feel back in the Old Country.
Music plays a key role amongst the Irish and Finn McCool’s is known for ahowcasing seasoned professional musicians as well as talented up-and-coming bands almost every night. LA Magazine rated our Sunday Night Traditional Irish Music as the “Best Irish Music in Los Angeles”.
Open from noon to 2am, Finn McCool’s features 17 draught beers, over 200 whiskeys, a full bar and an impressive cocktail list. The menu offers a vast array of delicious dishes from the Traditional Irish fayre, featured on THE TRAVEL CHANNEL’s “PUB PARADISE”, as well as fresh fish and local seasonal ingredients, and an extensive Vegetarian and Vegan Menu.
