This masala also attracted 1000’s of people per day.
It was 1931,when Ramnath Motilal Singh came to the then called Bombay (Mumbai as called by localites of today), to make a impression in the history of mumbai itself and set a very high mark in the world of culinary.
When he came to bombay he had come with huge amount of trust in himself and the hardwork he is going to put forward in his life but due to lack of funds, he had to live a very substanial life filled with hardships, In his initial years, he used to work at a coal mine in Bombay, where he made friendship with an afgani who also had come to earn his bread and butter in mumbai , and as time passed by , the friendship between the two grew and they went on to become very good friends. The Friend used to always share his authentic afghani recipe with Ramnath Motilal singh. In due course of time, the afgani gentleman headed back to his home country, after which Ramnath Motilal Singh decided why not continue this legacy further and went on to open his hotel, ‘Bhartiya Lunch Home’ in Girgaon in 1943.
