Bellon’s Kung-Pao Express is a family owned Asian-American food restaurant which recently opened this year in Bryan, Texas.

The chef, Juan Bellon, began his experience in cooking 16 years ago in an oriental restaurant in California, where he started from the bottom; as a dishwasher and a busboy. His motivation to learn to cook came from the birth of his first daughter, which made him realize the life of a dishwasher and a busboy wasn’t enough to support his life. As the seven years passed, Bellon learned the basics of oriental cooking by observing the cooks and trying to cook himself.

Later on, Bellon obtained another job in Montana, this time as the cook at another oriental restaurant. He worked there for 9 years and perfected his skills and style. This time, however, with a new dream- to open his own restaurant. In Montana, Bellon saved up enough money to open a restaurant.

When the opportunity presented itself in Bryan, Texas, Bellon and his family moved right in. Although starting all over again has its ups and downs, he learns new things everyday, and is always looking for ways to better his service towards his customers. Bellon already loves the community of Bryan and looks forward everyday to the smile on people’s faces when their food arrives.

Our mission is to serve the best Asian-American food in Bryan. Bellon’s Kung-Pao Express wants to be the first oriental express you think of when the word “food” pops up in your mind. We are always open to suggestions to make your experience better every time you come in.
