Wolf Isle Bar & Grill is a unique restaurant that brings a fun, fine-dining twist to not so typical bar food. We are located in the heart of Winneconne, just steps away from the Wolf River. The bar and grill opened January 1st, 2016 under the new ownership of Max Clifford and Shaun Lawson. Max is a hometown boy, a graduate of Winneconne High School, and educated in the culinary program at FVTC. Shaun, a proud Navy veteran, brings his culinary take from the East Coast where he started out at his local pizza joint in Methuen, Massachusetts. After becoming fast friends while cooking together at familiar Oshkosh restaurants such as The Roxy and Primo, Chef Max and Chef Shaun honed their skill for creating delicious and exciting recipes as well as their enthusiasm to open their own business. With their passion for food and undeniable chemistry in the kitchen, they jumped at the opportunity to purchase this property, the former Village Pub. After months of renovation, dedication, and the hard work of neighbors, friends, and family, Wolf Isle Bar & Grill opened as a restaurant unique to the Winneconne area that is dedicated to offering the very best in freshness and flavor. Wolf Isle boasts a diverse menu starting with local Wisconsin cheese curds, Fresh made pasta and sauces, Hand pattied burger creations, made-to-order dishes, and much more. In addition, Wolf Isle also offers an exceptional Specials Menu every week, showcasing the Chef’s choice of land and sea house-created recipes, which brings together Wisconsin foodies from all over the area. We also welcome you to join us at the bar to quench your thirst with a hand muddled Old Fashioned, zesty Bloody Mary, daily specialty drink, or your choice of one of our many well stocked Wisconsin craft beers.
