EATING
The Square is all about Seafood, Steaks & Barbecue…
Seafood…try the Scallops, baked in our Josper oven over hot coals, the flavour is simply amazing, we’ll always try to have Lobster available on a daily basis, as well as lots of other seafood dishes for you to choose.
Steaks…cooked at around 400 degrees, they’re seared on the outside to keep the juices in & just the way you ordered them on the inside, our “John Stone” Cote De Bouef for two is well worth a try.
Barbecue…don’t panic were not just talking a “burger cooked over charcoal”, although we do offer a “John Stone” steak burger which is very, very good, no we’re talking St Louis Pork Ribs, the cut is extra meaty & they’re smoked in house, or spice rubbed, smoked, slow cooked brisket, which melts in your mouth!
DRINKING
The Square bar is well “BIG”, with a beautiful copper finish bar top, probably housing the largest range of drinks available in St Helier.
There’s a great selection of spirits, some are really interesting, quite rare & made for “sipping”, when “they’re gone there gone”…but we will buy something else for you to try.
The champagne & wine list runs to around 70 bins, with over 20 available by the glass, including some rather nice “top end” wines also available by the glass, so you can have different wines with different foods, or just try something new before you plump to buy the bottle!
We offer cocktails, it’s a short, tight list but there is something for every occasion, pre-dinner, after-dinner or just to celebrate & party!
We’ve got beers on tap and in the bottle to, try the Meantime Pale Ale made by our friends across the water in East London, it’s not cheap but it does taste really good…very mourish!
BEING ENTERTAINED
Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights we’ll have live music, Acoustic, Vocal, Jazz & Groups, playing fantastic sets from around 9.30pm right through until 1.00am…
