The Captains is a pub in the traditional style, lively Bistro area with old style traditional bar and 9 guest bedrooms. 2017 saw the addition of a second bar, more contemporary in décor and an excellent addition to the Captains
The Captains is a pub in the traditional style with warm carpets, low ceilings with original oak beams and walls adorned with brass and copper memorabilia. It offers comfortable rooms at great prices and is a world away from the UK chains and so-called ‘gastro pubs’.
Ali and Colin ‘Del’ de la Mare have been running the Captains since 1995 and they are the heart and soul of the place. They’ve worked hard to make their business succeed and gain a reputation for it’s good food and a warm welcome awaits all visitors and guests.
The Captains has nine en-suite bedrooms, all equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, televisions and extra touches like a dish a sweets and nice toiletries.
