The Brunswick Brewing Co Ltd was initially founded in September 1991, as an extension to the Brunswick Inn. Very much at the fore front of the real ale revolution in Britain, it was for many years Derby's only brew pub. Since the Brunswick Inn's re-opening in 1987, and the introduction of the brewery in 1991, both the inn and the brewery have collected multiple awards, both regional and national. The Brunswick Brewing Co and the Brunswick Inn are run separately, yet very much in conjunction with each other, and both are now well known country wide in real ale circles. The Brunswick Inn and its partner brewery truly are a mecca for good quality cask ale.
