Our mission is to strengthen the local dining scene by providing aspiring restaurateurs a platform to test, develop, and prove their concepts.
Taste Test Restaurant Incubator is in downtown York in the Royal Square District at 101-105 South Duke Street. Taste Test helps aspiring restaurateurs achieve their restaurant dreams by going through a mentorship process to develop their concepts. The aspiring restauranteurs then have a short term audition, two weeks, to showcase their idea to the York community. If they are successful in their short term pop up, they then have a chance at running a long term pop up, about 3 months, to essentially run their own restaurant. At the end of their long term pop up, the York community will decide which concept they would like to see as a permanent fixture downtown. They will "vote" by crowdfunding to see it come to fruition. Donors at certain levels will have the opportunity to own a stake in the business, making it York's first community owned eatery.
