Sally's was one of the oldest family run pizzerias in the NE. Continuously operated since 1938 through 2017 by Sal Consiglio's Family, renown for thin crust pizza baked in a coal-fired oven. On Dec 5th, 2017 it was purchased by Lineage Hospitality.

Sally's Apizza

Sally's was established in 1938 by Salvatore Consiglio. Renown for thin crust pizza still baked today in the same coal-fired oven that has been in use for over 75 years. Continuously operated since 1938, Sally's is one of the oldest family run pizzerias in the Northeast. For many years Sal and Flo Consiglio were the sole proprietors. Today Sal's son's, Bob and Rick, still maintain the family tradition.

Located on historic Wooster Street in New Haven, CT, Sally's is the first restaurant on the left.
Wooster Street is often termed the "Little Italy" of New Haven. Sally's is one of the cornerstone restaurants in the New Haven Pizza wars (which pizzeria is best). The corner of Wooster and Olive Streets bears the name of Flora and Salvatore Consiglio.

Many dignitaries, athletes and stars have dined on Sally's over the years. Pictures and memorabilia from these visits line the walls. Notables include Frank Sinatra, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Kathleen Turner, Don Rickles, Jimmy Durante and Gary Trudeau (look for the Doonesbury tribute to Sally's the next time you are there).

You may stand in line for a table, and once seated you probably will wait for your pizza, but the wait is worth it. Each pie is individually hand-made, and carefully baked in our coal-fired oven.
