Farm to Fork Inns Ltd T/A The Windrush Inn

The Windrush Inn uses fresh, locally sourced produce where ever possible, ideally buying directly from the producer, therefore offering our customer’s wholesome tasty food which they can be confident in, not only the origins of that food but also in the food preparation techniques used to deliver it to their plate. This also demonstrate our dedication to the local markets and our community by supporting our local producers and encouraging and helping them to continue to grow and rear good, wholesome, local produce. Our menus have information on the ingredients origins, with interesting facts about the food or its history. The children’s menu goes into the ‘5 a day’ concept, showing ‘green light’ choices and not so good choices! customers have the option to swap ‘red light’ foods with 'green light foods' to make it a healthier choice and also a reward scheme for healthy eaters. Our décor has a ‘farming’ influence and the garden is also be a big part of the dining experience. From growing some of our own produce such has herbs, strawberry’s etc., to having our own chickens from which we use the eggs in our kitchen. The idea behind the Children’s activity area is again based on farming, but also exercise and exploring. We offer the children the opportunity to get involved with the planting, growing and picking of foods, as well as offering them an area to ‘run around’ and enjoy themselves.
Our décor is warm, with neutral traditional colours, fresh flowers, soft music and candles, creating a cosy comfortable dining experience.
