The "Elephant Approved" label is your assurance that, when you purchase a product from from Petali Teas, you are purchasing a product that is helping to insure the survival of Asian elephants in India. Not only are the teas acquired from growers that produce their product in an elephant-friendly fashion, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of any Elephant Approved product goes to support the efforts of WLT/WTI - World Land Trust and Wildlife Trust of India -to provide a viable future for elephants in India. By working on reforestation as well as the establishment of "elephant corridors", which are passageways that provide elephants with the opportunity to safely travel from one area to another and avoid areas of agricultural development and human habitation as much as possible, WLT/WTI is pursuing a method of reducing conflict and promoting coexistence between elephants and people. At the same time, WLT/WTI is also working on a plan to help families that have been impacted by the loss of a parent from conflict with elephants.
