The Caribbean has long been renowned for its exotic dishes that tantalize the palate. At Chicken Barn we have uniquely adapted the method of cooking poultry that was used by the Arawaks and Buccaneers in this region centuries ago. Instead of smoking strips of meat over a “buccan” or barbeque, we have perfected this healthy culinary process of slowly cooking our birds over a keenly regulated open flame in our rotisseries thereby allowing the specially prepared seasonings and herbs in each bird to penetrate the meat giving it a mouth-watering flavour that is reminissent of the past – an authentic Caribbean experience in every bite. This is rotisserie at its best!

In our relaxed atmosphere, visitors and locals can enjoy our rotisserie chicken accompanied by a choice of french fries, garden or pasta salad and cole-slaw or enjoy a succulent chicken-breast sandwich garnished with lettuce, onion, tomato and pickles. Of course, for the truly adventurous “Buccaneer”, a generous amount of Bajan pepper-sauce should be tried as a garnish at least once! Our home-style hamburgers are made from ground beef using the same forty-year old recipe that we have traditionally prefered – a guarded recipe that is as old as Chicken Barn Limited itself and one which is enjoyed by the discerning beef lover. The flying-fish and chips is an alternative for the non-meat eaters who are desirous of enjoying this Barbadian favourite. A meal at any one of our four locations on the island is incomplete without sampling a refreshing glass of mauby over ice, or a slice of cherry cheese-cake that is guaranteed to entice you again and again.
