Facing the renowned Nyali Beach on Kenya’s North Coast, overlooking the warm azure waters of the Indian Ocean, Bahari is set within lush and colourful gardens, where palms, tropical flowering shrubs and bougainvillea form a superb backdrop for the water garden and its soothing streams and fountains.

Architecture

The hotel’s architecture was influenced by old Swahili villages and built in traditional style from coral blocks with makuti (palm frond) thatched roofs. The main buildings contain spacious restaurants, a comfortable lounge bar with satellite T.V. and gift shops. They are decorated with brightly coloured paintings of the Maasai people and furnished with a décor that makes intriguing use of traditional materials.

Accomodation

Each of our 100 bedrooms is ensuite, individually air conditioned and elegantly styled. Wide glass doors open up to spacious terraces or balconies.

Restaurants

Our main restaurant serves a wholesome variety of coastal fare, international cuisine and a special selection of wonderful seafood.
A visit to the “Cliff Hanger”….our cliff side bar with a stunning view of the Indian Ocean is the natural way to unwind and relax. The perfect opportunity to make new friends, watch the seas and the magical moonrise, whilst listening to the cool breeze whispering through the coconut palms.

Water Sports

Attached to the hotel is a PADI diving centre, the Peponi Divers Mombasa. They do provide scuba diving and diving courses. The same company has some water sports facility such as wind surfing, canoe ride and a Ngalau (A local catamaran) for sailing within the inner reef. Snorkelling trips with the glass bottom boat taking you to the famous "Coral Garden"
