The Old Bank City Pub and Chop House is Situated in a Grade II Listed Bank Building on the corner of Fisher Street in the main shopping hub in Carlisle City Centre. We serve British Classics twisted with modern day techniques and local produce is used throughout. We have a great range of steaks and chops from local family butcher Steven Wilson who only uses the best meat possible. We are sure you wont taste a better steak !! All thisd is washed down with craft beers, ciders and wine and set in a casual fun environment.
The Plough Inn was tastefully refurbished with handmade brickwork and granite slabs, under floor heating adding to the warm, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere in 2005.
The bar has been built using hand-made bricks rescued from an old Cumbrian mill race, decorating its front is an old ploughshare, the rural connection continued with a part of the edging to the bar coming from a combine harvester.
The Plough has a well-deserved, excellent reputation for it’s food which is locally sourced, wherever possible. Meals are served between 12 and 3pm, Wednesday to Sunday and between 5.30 - 9pm Tue...

The Sally, formally The Salutation Inn was bought in October 2016 and is in the process of a £150k refurbishment programme.
The pub will open mid December for Home-Cooked food and large selection of Beers, Wines & Spirits. In 2017 we will see the addition of 6 ensuite letting rooms.
