The original part of the building was a general store dating back to the late 1890s. In 1947, the building became a supper club known as the Royal Club. In the 1980s, the Royal Club became the Buffalo Jump Saloon - a true western bar and steakhouse. After closing its doors in 1994, the Buffalo Jump remained closed until 2005.
