The House Café has been a long-standing staple of downtown DeKalb. It offers a unique opportunity for the community as a space for members of all ages to enjoy live performance, art displays, delicious food, and quality beverages. It has been fondly christened The Center of the Universe for its dedication to being a place for the community to meet, perform, and appreciate art.

There is always something exciting happening at The House Café, from live bands to stand up comedy, open mic, dance lessons, and more. The House Café offers a diverse selection of food, including options for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. We have healthy and gluten-free menu items, as well. Our drinks include fresh fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, fair trade coffee, craft beers, and wine. We have an art wall that usually features local artists’ work – check out our Art Shows page on our website for more info on what pieces are up right now!
