The Fire Station is an Arts and Culture venue in Sunderland.

The Fire Station is the newly converted old central fire station, next to the Empire Theatre. It contains drama and dance studios, a Heritage Centre and a fabulous bar and bistro called The Engine Room.

Activities will start to be delivered by Dance City from January 2018 who will shortly be advertising the range of workshops on offer. Live Theatre's drama activities will begin later in the new year.

Meanwhile the Heritage Centre on the top floor has a free opening exhibition celebrating the history of the fire service in Sunderland and the north east.
