The Penhelig Arms, originally a collection of fisherman’s cottages, now a jewel of Welsh hospitality, overlooks the stunning vista which was, at one time the ship building harbour, surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park.
Whatever your reason to visit our tranquil, beautiful part of Wales, you can be assured of a warm welcome, genuine hospitality, great real ale, wines and fine food with menus inspired by coast and country.
We’ve been here since 1750…we look forward to welcoming you.

We take full advantage of our waterfront location when designing our menus. Our philosophy is that the quality of our food should be something special, prepared with passion and pride, served with a relaxed and friendly informality. We’re proud that this philosophy has led us to being awarded a Rosette by the AA for great locally sourced freshly prepared food.
