The Smoke and Fire festival is a new festival aimed at celebrating all things smoky and hot.

2017 is a year that is sure to prove the BARBECUE SPIRIT is alive and well in Maldon.
The Maldon Smoke & Fire Festival, a free, Family weekend charity being held event in collaboration with Maldon District Council, a celebration of the art of cooking with fire & smoke, comes to Promenade Park, with its avenues of mature trees and grass recreation areas running down the banks of the river. Blackwater, Maldon's Promenade Park has been a summer haven for many generations of families.
The Maldon Smoke & Fire Festival will allow visitors to taste, smell, discover and learn about all kinds of BBQ’ing grilling, smoking, meats and delicacies from around the globe. This new annual spice-inspired food festival plans to feature some of the greatest BBQ food vendors and best hot sauces in Essex and across the country, all washed down with a choice craft beer or cider from our very own local Essex breweries. There will be demos & from the likes of Simon Dyer ITV’s BBQ Champ 2015 as well a bunch of BBQ hero’s and extreme eating challenges, children’s play area with entertainment, and loads more including.
