About the owner: Amanda Souza is a Gold Star Wife and a Blue Star Mom, she lost her husband SFC Chris Souza in July of 2015. the loss and pain of losing her best friend in such a heartbreaking way after he had paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, gave her the determination to help as many Veterans in need as possible so no other families had to endure the pain, heartache and extreme loss that her and her family has endured, and she vowed to honor him in the highest levels possible by helping as many brothers and sisters in arms that are suffering from invisible wounds after fighting for our freedom. She started a Non Profit 501c and named it the Chris Souza Foundation:.
The mission is to help, assist, honor, encourage, support and empower our U.S. Veterans and Active Duty Service Members of all branches of the Armed Forces as well as their Families in their time of need and crisis such as home improvement, wheelchair ramps, service dogs, temporary housing, counseling, emergency grants and many of the other needs they may have not have the ability to obtain services for on their own, helping to improve their quality of life.
Including in the mission is a very strong passionate commitment to helping to put an end to the heartbreaking epidemic of the on average 22 Veterans we lose every single day to Veteran suicide stemming from the suffering of Post Traumatic Injury (PTSD)and the invisible wounds that our Military Men and Women come home from war with after serving and fighting for our freedom, by raising awareness, education, providing resources and services.
The Name: "LUNCHBOX" was SFC Souza's call sign for the 27 years he served including in his multiple dangerous combat missions.
"22" is for the 22 a day we lose to Veteran Suicide.

The meaning: 22 percent of all proceeds of the Deli on the 22 of the month will go directly to fund the Chris Souza Foundations programs to help Veterans in need and help to save more lives.
