Voted Best Sushi in the Carson Valley area year after year!
The award winning Kim Lee’s Sushi, Teriyaki, and Oyster Bar is located in the heart of historic downtown Carson City and Gardnerville Township. Kim Lee’s has been voted best Sushi through the Nevada Appeal Reader’s Choice Awards every year for almost a decade. In 2012 we were voted- best Sushi, best seafood, and best lunch; we also won 2nd place for- best take out, best place to take a date, best dinner, and best overall restaurant.
Kim Lee's Sushi was originally established next to Toys R' Us in Reno, NV on June 1st, 1988 by Tony Pastini and Esikai Sato. Kim Lee's Sushi and Teri was the first full service Sushi Bar in Northern Nevada and we have stayed true to the traditional Japanese style of service while pioneering the all-you-can-eat Sushi style. We expanded to Carson City in 1998 then Gardnerville in 2009.
Kim Lee’s is also known in the Northern Nevada area for food safety as current owner Tony Pastini is a Certified Food Safety Instructor and runs the Barritone School System and Food Safety Network. Kim Lee’s has an outstanding health record at both of our locations. All of our team members are certified by the nationally accredited ServSafe program provided by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and are certified food safety managers.
Don’t like Sushi? Kim Lee’s also offers an assortment of Japanese and American style non-sushi options. And… if you have never tried Sushi before and would like to- the knowledgeable staff at Kim Lee’s is always more than happy to answer any questions you might have!
