Our restaurant name, Hallah, is derived from the name of a mountain in South Korea. Mt. Hallah is South Korea’s highest peak at 1950 metres. It is found on Jeju Island, which is also known as the "Island of the gods." It is known to the locals as the heart of Je Ju Island. The island's mixture of volcanic rock, frequent rains, and temperate climate, make it very similar to the Hawaiian Islands in the U.S. It is a popular vacation spot for Koreans and many Japanese.
