We offer fresh duck and chicken eggs that are truly free ranging. Living a gentler, greener lifestyle.

Our birds are completely free range (pastured). The current flock of 36 birds have an acre of land to roam, and two well protected coops to keep them warm and dry at night. The flock are named, and enjoy wandering through the orchard, nibbling fresh green grass, swimming in a duck pond, eating bugs and generally being very happy birds. (They chase the cats too!)

Apart from the taste benefits of eggs from happy birds, true free range, or as it is now labelled, pastured, eggs, are better for you. With no added hormones or antibiotics, these eggs are as nature intended.
Deb collects the eggs twice every day. They are then washed, checked for cracks, candled, dated and weighed. The collection date and weight is written on each egg. Occasionally there might be a name written on the egg if Deb knows which bird laid it. As the birds are free to lay as they wish, eggs can vary in size from 40g to 160g.
Chicken eggs have been the most common eggs available in Australia. We decided to add ducks to our flock, in part because they do less damage to the garden and eat more bugs, but also to have a variety in our egg supply.
If you have never tried duck eggs, you really should.
