Fun wine bar in Capitola Village with wines by the glass or bottle, local beer on tap, hand made pizzas, great outdoor patio with a fire pit table and warm, fuzzy blankets if the fog rolls in. Open Mic on Weds and live music. A local favorite!

Cork And Fork Capitola

We offer a wide selection of California wines, hand-selected by proprietor, Cathy Bentley. Several wines are from our beloved Santa Cruz Mountains, and many from the Sierra Foothills, Paso Robles, Lodi, Monterey and San Antonio Valley. We also carry a selection of import wines from France, Italy, Spain, and Argentina.

We have Discretion beer on tap, sodas, coffee and tea. And scrumptious small plate dishes, including hand-made pizzas. Most of our dishes are made from scratch.

Wednesday is our famous Open Mic Night and we feature mozzarella-stuffed turkey meatballs in a rich, thick meaty saucy goodness, sprinkled with more mozzarella cheese. It's become a local favorite.

CORK AND FORK AUDIO SYSTEM: AN OVERVIEW FOR MUSICIANS:

The system consists of three devices, an audio snake and four microphones.

A phased-array PA system: The Turbosound system is a 1000-watt powered column speaker system with a 12" subwoofer, 16 mid-hi drivers, a horn-loaded super tweeter, DSP processing, and a digital mixer. It is the Main output of the mixer. It plays in mono only, and mixes the Main output stereo signal of the mixer internally to mono. This system is designed to be used without stage monitors and so should be in back of the performers, in which case they will hear exactly the same sound the audience hears. It provides a 120 degree sound stage.

A BBE Di400 Direct-in box: This is in the 2up -rack on stage. It has four inputs that will accept either instrument or line level signals. You can plug in your acoustic or electric guitar/bass or the output of your pedals to these four inputs and they will be fed directly to one of the first four inputs on the mixer. They will also accept keyboards, etc. Note that there eight ¼” jacks on the front of the Di400. The bottom four are plugged, and the top four are the inputs. The plugged inputs are unused.

A Soundcraft 12 Channel Mixer. It is completely analog, with no effects, but has EQ, etc. As noted above, it feeds the PA system directly. Its first four inputs are the four outputs of the BBE Di400, and the its second four inputs are the four mics, which are color coded to the inputs. The mics are switched, so make sure the switches are where you want them when you set up. The last four inputs, are open, and can accept either balanced mic or unbalanced line-level inputs, so you can plug in your additional inputs here. Note that if you plug a line level device into one of the first four inputs on the mixer, you will be doubling the level of noise on that input.
