L’Antica Locanda di Sesto é un ristorante che si trova sulla riva destra del fiume Serchio, a Lucca. La sua costruzione risale al 1368, come attesta la lapide marmorea all' ingresso del locale, e appartiene all ‘epoca in cui i mercanti lucchesi presero a fabbricarsi dimore in campagna. sia per trascorrere al fresco l’estate che per investire capitali. Dal XIV sec. il paese di Sesto fu proprietà dei conti De Nobili che, secondo una voce tramandata dai vecchi, avrebbero avuto nel territorio alle loro dipendenze ben 101 contadini. Sempre i De Nobili costruirono questo edificio, trasformato poi in locanda, dove tutt’oggi appare una bifora trecentesca.
...anche i vecchi mercanti sarebbero fieri dei Sig.ri Ida, Raffaella, Adriano,Aurelio e Lamberto perchè ancora una volta la locanda è gestita da chi ama profondamente e protegge amorevolmente la terra

"Antica Locanda Di Sesto" it's a restaurant located on the right side of the Serchio River,in the outskirts of Lucca.
The Building dates back to the 1368,as the marble stone in front of the restaurant says,a period when the local merchants started to build their own country estates,used to relax and chill out in the summer but also to gain businnes profits.
From the XIV Century the village of Sesto was property of the "De Nobili" Family and they had,according to various rumors,101 farmers working only for them in the village.
It is thanks to this powerful family that the "Locanda" was built,and even now you can see the remains of the old building inside the restaurant.
...Even the old merchants would be proud of the Family owners : Ida, Raffaella, Adriano, Aurelio and Lamberto because once more and like the past the "Locanda" is in the hands of people which loves and protect their products and the nature. . .
