Back in the 1600's farmers were harvesting cassava root (tapioca flour). They were peeled and finely grated and soaked in the water and then dried in the sun. Two hundred years later dairy products such as milk and cheese were introduced to the initial recipe.
Brazilian cheese rolls are an excellent breakfast ensemble. They melt in your mouth as you sip on your favorite cup of coffee. Cheese rolls are also an excellent pairing as a snack and compliment a glass of red wine that can turn out to be more than one.
