Ballacregga Corn Mill, close to Laxey Wheel offers a mix of heritage, contemporary art and tea rooms.
It is a far cry from the industrial use made of the buildings for the past 60 years, when it was occupied by Manx Engineers Ltd. The company transferred to Ramsey in 2009 and the building was purchased by Stewart and Barbara Clague, directors of Manx building services firm SCS (Stewart Clague Services).
They have worked flat-out to convert the former factory complex into a heritage centre that they feel complements the famous Lady Isabella. The old corn mill itself is now a cosy café.
