The 19th Street Diner was opened in 1986 by Swannie and KG Schwanebeck, and it immediately became a Glenwood Springs mainstay; serving classic Diner fare as well as unique items like the Deep Fried French Toast and the Diner Delight. After working as staff members for a combined 12 years, Rick and Tonya Wernsmann purchased the Diner from the Schwanebecks in January of 2007.
