History of Evans Head Bowling Club
It was late in 1931 when a few enthusiastic fellows, mainly from Evans Head, decided to form a Bowling Club. The idea was that a game of bowls was not only good sport, but also that the clubhouse would be a great meeting place when the fish weren’t biting. Records show that the Bank of New South Wales, in April, 1932, received a deposit in the name of the Evans Head Bowling Club. Early records and minutes of the club have been lost.

Nostalgic Evans Head Fishermens Coop located on the beautiful Evans Head River is serviced by a fleet of professional fishermen supplying fresh seafood such as Prawns, Crabs and a large variety of Fish to the public.
We also have an amazing Hot Fish and Chip Shop open 7 days a week for Lunch and Dinner with tables and chairs on the wharf to watch the boating activity and the incredible sun sets whilst dining.
