The Due South Story
Smoking pulled pork BBQ has been our hobby for years. We would cook for parties, tailgates, family get-togethers, and holidays.
In 2007, we moved from South Carolina to Virginia and decided to share our love of BBQ with our community of friends, and so we opened Due South BBQ. We take pride in slow smoking our pork butts for 12-14 hours over hickory in our Ole Hickory or Lang BBQ pits. We know you'll love the pulled pork, chicken, ribs, brisket, and homemade sides.

From the owners of "Due South BBQ" comes the New River Valley's most recent take on Soul Food and seafood. Our delicious menu is influenced by the foods we love, the places we come from, and the music that moves us. Come dine on some crab legs, fish, burgers (...the menu goes on!) and grab a beer from our tap or our large selection of local and classic beer. The first Macado’s restaurant was opened in 1978 by Richard Macher in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. It soon became popular for its eclectic ambiance of cartoon, antique, and local nostalgic decor, as well as its wide array of hearty yet modestly-priced sandwiches, subs, and entrees.
Popular with the college crowd, the restaurant opened additional locations near Virginia Tech, Radford University, and Roanoke College. Locations were added at the rate of one or two per year, including those in neighboring West Virginia and North Carolina. Some Macado’s are located in malls, such as Mercer Mall...
Located in the heart of downtown Christiansburg, we are in the Antiques building, under the yellow awning on Franklin Street, and beside the Papa John's.
Utilizing as many local, sustainable, and eco-friendly products and ingredients as possible, we take pride in offering made from scratch desserts, pastries, breakfast, and lunch items. We serve breakfast and lunch all day, as well as vegan and gluten free options. Stop by to pick up some pastries for the office, or contact us to get a hand crafted cake for that special occasion.
