The Wharekai is a food delivery and catering business that provides delicious Maori cusine throughout Auckland.
The Wharekai (previously Hāhā Hangi) was formed in the tropical paradise of South Auckland in 2015. It was created by a couple who found it was too hard to travel back to their home-town just for a decent feed of 'ground' Hangi. They searched around and found a machine that produced the results they craved.
In 2017 the business was rebranded to "The Wharekai" to reflect our new food menu. Wharekai meaning Dining Hall; the place where people come together to eat. Our new menu now consists of foods you would find on a Marae plus a few of our favourites.
