Built in 1948 by "The Shoe Wizard" Mahlon Haines. Once used as a guest house for elderly couples and honeymooners. Now the Haines Shoe House offers guided tours, a gift shop, ice cream & tasty treats for your enjoyment!

We open on the First Day of Spring (March 20th) each year.

SPRING HOURS:
First Day of Spring - Memorial Day: Fri, Sat, Sun 11-5p
*CLOSED EASTER SUNDAY*

SUMMER HOURS:
Memorial Day - Labor Day: Wed - Sat 11-7p, Sun 11-5p
(Closed Mondays and Tuesdays)

FALL HOURS:
Labor Day to Halloween: Fri, Sat, Sun 11-5p
(We will close on the last Sunday in October)

We accept cash or credit cards (with a .50 surcharge fee for CC*)
*We are a small business and have to pay fees for this convenience, we hope you understand.

Tours of the Shoe House are $5 per person and children 5 and under are FREE. *Children MUST be accompanied by a guardian.* We do tours all throughout the day while we are open, you do not need an appointment.

However, please call ahead for larger groups of 15 or more so that we can accommodate your group.

We have seating available for 18 people inside the instep and picnic tables on the grounds so that you can enjoy your treats or ice cream!
There is a new, clean porta-potty outside for your convenience. This is the only restroom onsite.

This is a SMOKE-FREE environment!
