The Lawrence Family settled in Williamsburg, VA from Germany over eleven years. As our family grew and became part of the community, Maggie, a.k.a. Chef Mechthild, was hired as Executive Chef, Bavarian Garden, Williamsburg’s last German Restaurant. If you remember the dishes she would prepare then I am confident you will enjoy her newest adventure as she guides our son, David through the launching of “The German Snack Shack” Williamsburg’s first German food trailer! This is a mom helping her son start a business promising you a German cuisine Williamsburg’s been missing. Building our lives here we always thought that the surrounding area lacked a place to get good, traditional German food. So, we bring you such a place, The German Snack Shack, Food Trailer!
