The Schaendorf Family has been farming in West Michigan for generations. In 1994, just a few miles northwest of the village of Hopkins, John Schaendorf and his family purchased an 80-acre Dairy Farm. With humble beginnings of milking just 30 cows, John and his family worked very hard and diligently to build up their farm over the next two decades, caring for their animals and the land.
In the summer of 2016, John and his son Ben decided to venture out and start Schaendorf Cattle Co. They believed that people were wanting to have a connection where their food comes from, and felt that they could fulfill that need along with offering high quality products direct to the consumer.
