Here in the south central New Mexico mountains, we work on private and state forestry restoration projects to ensure the improvement of ecosystem function. Wild fire is a common occurance here. We have had two floods in the last five years and, of course, there is always the "human caused" fire as well. We often get calls from folks when they see trees being chipped, grinded, or piled for burning, a common solution to the debris after a fire event or flood. Quickly, we move to "rescue" the trees for "wood with a story" pieces that, with the help our online store, find homes around the world. It just seems prudent to make something rather than destroy the scarred or damaged tree. After all, it makes a great story!
When we're not in the woods, at a creek or river, or urban property setting, we are in the wood shop where we fashion functional, one-of-a-kind items for your home, garden, and/or business. The possibilities are endless for the many creative ways that real wood works. Join us in our rescue efforts by "adopting" one of our unique stumps or tables!
