The Pellston Summer Fest will take place June 9-11, 2017 in downtown Pellston, MI and include a Rib and Chilli Cookoff (Sat at 4pm), the Taste of the Northwest (Sun at 4pm), live musicians, an art show, a car show and a wide range of family fun.

Pellston Summer Fest June 9-11 2017

Friday June 9th

The Pellston Summer Fest is back and kicks off on Friday June 9th with a Teen Dance from 8pm to 11pm in the Main Tent. The Art and Craft Show will be setting up in Veteran’s Memorial Park throughout the day as well and will be open for business in a participatory manner.

Saturday June 10th

Look for the Car Show beginning at 7am Saturday June 10th running through 3pm.

The 5K “Sun” Run/Walk starts up at 9am. The advance cost to participate is $10 ages 12 and under, $20 ages 13 and up if you sign up at www.active.com. The cost is $25 for those 13 and up if you register the day of. Questions about the “Sun” Run/Walk email summerfestsunrun@gmail.com or call Angie 231-539-8467. T-shirts provided for the first 60 registrants.

The Art and Craft Show will be open from 10am to 6pm on June 10. Enjoy a variety of crafts and art from vendors throughout the region.

The Library Book Sale will take place at the food pantry (just south of the BP Gas Station) from 10am to 3pm on Saturday only.

Inflatables and Bounce Fun for kids is sponsored by the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Community Foundation and will be open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday. The first 100 kids each day are free! After that the cost is $5 per person.

A Bean Bag Tourney will go on from noon to 2pm. This is fun the whole family can enjoy.

Live music will be playing throughout the day at two locations in downtown Pellston. In the Park Gazebo hear the sounds of Kirby from 10am to noon, Michelle Chenard from noon to 2pm, Pete Kehoe from 2pm to 4pm and Chris Koury from 4pm to 6pm. In the Main Tent the Craig Cottrill Band will play from 4pm to 6pm followed by The Marsupials from 6pm to 8pm. Then enjoy Doug Thomas and the Guy Monday Band from 8pm to midnight with no cover charge sponsored by the Northern Dental Group.

At the Rib and Chili Cook-off is where you will want to be from 4 to 7pm under the Main Tent. For $10 per person enjoy one cup of chili per each restaurant and 2 bones of ribs per each restaurant.


Sunday June 11th

Sunday wake up to a Pancake Breakfast from 9am to 1pm in the St. Clement Quonset.

The Art and Craft Show continues from 10am to 4pm as does the

Inflatables and Bounce Fun for kids from noon to 4pm with the same deal as before where the first 100 kids are free and then it’s $5 per person after that.

The big draw for Sunday is the Taste of the Northwest which will take place under the Main Tent from 4pm to 7pm. The cost to participate is $10 per person, $25 per family of 3 and $6 per each additional family member.

Live music and entertainment will be on site throughout the day. Crazy Richard the Madd Juggler will be around and putting on a performance with danger, fire and laughter. In the Park Gazebo enjoy Kirby from 10am to noon, Peacemeal String Band from noon to 2pm, Dr Goodheat’s Home Remedy from 2 to 4pm and Kirby and the All Star Roots Band from 4 to 6pm. In the Main Tent dance to the Pistil Whips from 4 to 7pm and then stick around for the Square Dance with The Space Heaters from 7 to 9pm.
