The Milonas Tavern in Kamilari has been offering a traditional family cuisine from the South of Crete since 1985.

Our parents Georgia and Michalis were farmers and had a mill. One day they decided to start something new. Our father wanted to have a bakery and our mother to open a restaurant. They followed an old Cretan tradition: the husband is always the boss but in the end, it's the wife who decides on the direction... That's why they opened this restaurant in 1985.
Vangelis and Alekos, our brothers, worked here first. Now we - Georgios and Manolis - are running the restaurant.
The ingredients of the dishes we serve are mostly from our own farm. We breed the different animals and grow the vegetables we use. Also the olive oil is from our trees and every year we distill the "Milonas Raki" in the traditional way.
