The Hotline Cafe will be opening in the Old Telephone Exchange Office at 179 Water Street in Carbonear.
The theme of the Cafe will be the TELEPHONE
Hot Line Cafe is operating out of the Telephone Exchange Building on 179 Water Street in Carbonear.
The building was built after one of the largest fires in Carbonear's History.
The building was erected in Spring of 1929.
It was built entirely from Hand poured cement .. Ceiling.. Floors.. Walls an stairs. Guaranteeing never to burn Again.
This is how I came up with the New Name "Hot Line Cafe " Referring to the fire, and bringing back a little of Carbonears History .
There will be a 1947 Phone there for you to use and get the feel of a Rotary Dial.
The menu is Basic but Delicious.. The atmosphere is fun educational and relaxed.
50's is the music that will have our toes tapping and flashbacks of an amazing time from the past.
