I studied graphic fine art, printmaking, at the PE Tech, and am a painter at heart. I love shape and form so I also design shapes to be produced in moulds. I grew up with clay all around me thanks to a wonderful woman and renowned artist, Liz Albrecht! It was, therefore, a natural marriage of clay and paint. Potliz became a landmark in Cape Town where we ran the ceramic business in Kloofnek Rd for almost 20 years. At the end of 2009 Lizzie left for Brighton, I closed shops, and left city life for good. I was running around adminisering, doing neverending paperwork and just needed to take my life, and my creativity, back !! I now work soley in the beautiful overberg region where there is an abundance of open space and inspiration :-)
